On SKN He Was There<\/p>\n

There once was a man from the city
\nWho didn’t know how to “dah-ditty.”
\nHe said with chagrin
\nAs he turned the low end,
\n“To not know the code is a pity.”<\/p>\n

So he made up his mind not to bend,
\nTo dig out his key once again,
\nTo grunt and to try,
\nAnd not whine and cry;
\nAnd his effort was worth it, my friend.<\/p>\n

On SKN he was there,
\nSomeone had answered his prayer.
\nHis fist was real clean,
\nIf you know what I mean,
\nAnd he smiles with a confident air.

New Year Resolutions For 2008
\n– Maximize the time I spend with my family – make that time count!
\n– Improve my CW skills. Learn to use my J-38 with a bit of skill.
\n– Build (and make a QSO with) a QRP kit HF transceiver.<\/p>\n

… when I return to the US
\n– Complete remaining contacts and receive QSL cards in order to qualify for DXCC.
\n– Streamline amateur radio operations to achieve the following:
\n(1) Home operation – redesign my home station around my TS-930S. Small footprint and a ascetically pleasing setup.
\n(2) Mobile operation – centered around the IC-706MKIIG, AH-4 tuner, and the Icom whip antenna. A clean install with solid performance.
\n(3) Portable operation – rack mounted case with IC-7000.
